This study focuses on the development and evaluation of the Shielded Metal Arc Welding Information System (SMAW IS) for ESII Training Corporation, a vocational institution offering technical training programs. The primary goal of the system is to streamline the administrative processes involved in managing student data, including enrollment, attendance monitoring, performance grading, and certificate generation. Recognizing the inefficiencies and manual errors commonly associated with traditional paper-based recordkeeping, this project aimed to introduce a digital solution that enhances accuracy, accessibility, and productivity. The system was developed following the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework, which involved the sequential phases of planning, requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and evaluation. Web-based technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL were used to create a user-friendly interface and robust back-end functionalities. To evaluate the effectiveness of the system, a survey based on the ISO 9126 software quality standard was conducted among 29 student-respondents. The system was assessed across four major quality attributes: Functionality, Reliability, Usability, and Efficiency. Responses were analyzed using weighted mean computations to determine the overall satisfaction level. The results indicated a high level of user satisfaction, with average ratings falling within the "Strongly Agree" and "Agree" ranges across all metrics. These findings suggest that the system effectively met the needs of its users and improved the overall administrative workflow. In conclusion, the SMAW IS proves to be a valuable tool for technical training institutions and is recommended for wider adoption to modernize education management systems.
