Abstract

This thesis project aims to develop a Housekeeping Task Management Leveraging (HTML) system that serves as a digital task management platform for Eastwood Richmonde Hotel. As a leading establishment in the hospitality industry, Eastwood Richmonde Hotel recognizes the importance of providing guests with exceptional service, which heavily depends on the efficiency and organization of the housekeeping department. However, managing housekeeping tasks using traditional methods such as paper lists and spreadsheets has proven to be inefficient, leading to problems like unclear task assignments, difficulty in tracking progress, missed deadlines, and ultimately, reduced guest satisfaction. To address these challenges, this study proposes the development and implementation of a web-based Housekeeping Task Management Leveraging (HTML) system. The system aims to provide a comprehensive solution that improves task organization, enhances communication between housekeepers and supervisors, and ensures timely completion of housekeeping duties. HTML will feature real-time task monitoring, digital recordkeeping, automated staff scheduling, and modules for handling special guest requests efficiently. Through this system, the housekeeping team can view their assigned tasks digitally, monitor progress updates in real time, and access a centralized platform for schedules and task checklists. Supervisors can easily track task completion, measure performance, and reassign tasks as needed to optimize workflow. Furthermore, the system is designed to be user-friendly and scalable to meet the growing operational needs of the hotel. In addition to addressing internal housekeeping inefficiencies, this study also examines existing housekeeping task management systems in the hotel industry, identifies their shortcomings, and proposes improvements that can be adapted by Eastwood Richmonde Hotel. Potential challenges, such as technological setup, staff training, and data security, are considered to ensure successful system implementation. Overall, the proposed Housekeeping Task Management Leveraging (HTML) system seeks to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of housekeeping operations at Eastwood Richmonde Hotel. By leveraging digital technologies, the hotel can streamline its housekeeping processes, deliver higher quality services, and ultimately provide an improved guest experience. Furthermore, the findings and outcomes of this study can serve as a reference for other hotels aiming to modernize and optimize their housekeeping management practices.
