The local government in Barangay Muzon South has a difficult time gathering honest sentiments from its residents because there is no official and secure system in place. At present, residents rely on outdated and informal methods like writing on paper, speaking directly to officials, or spreading concerns by word of mouth. These methods lead to major problems: suggestions are often lost, forgotten, or ignored because there is no organized way to track them. Without a formal record, many concerns go unresolved, causing frustration within the community. An emerging issue is the growing trend of residents posting their concerns on social media, particularly on community Facebook Group Pages such as Pabahay 2000 Community, Harmony Hills 1, and Melody Plains. Unfortunately, this approach is unreliable and often fails to reach the appropriate barangay authorities, resulting in delays or no action at all. As a result, residents continue to feel unheard and discouraged from engaging with their local government. This lack of a centralized platform also makes it difficult for barangay officials to understand and prioritize the community's needs. They are unable to identify recurring issues or analyze trends, making it challenging to make data-informed decisions and respond in a timely manner. The absence of a secure system also raises concerns about the privacy of submitted information and the integrity of records. Ultimately, this weak communication creates a lack of trust between residents and barangay officials, which affects the overall effectiveness of local governance. The proposed solution to address these challenges is the development of Tambayan ng Tinig: A Public Freedom Sentiments Kiosk System for Barangay Muzon South. It is a user-friendly desktop-kiosk system.
