The main objective of the study is to develop a valid computer-based appointment system since traditional scheduling for walk-in check-ups results to disadvantages to medical patients. The developed system will promote timely and effortless scheduling and patient profiling that will minimize tasks among all hospital stakeholders. Given the background and exposure to computer operation and programming, the researcher developed a computer-based appointment system called The Patient Appointment System that has access to the doctor where they can easily see if the doctor has a schedule on a particular day. So that, they are aware when physicians have a schedule or are in the hospital. The subject covered by the study is Computer Programming 1 covering topics on introduction to programming concepts, logic formulation, and introduction to the Java programming language and its features. The descriptive method of research was used. Specifically, survey questionnaires were used in the collection of data from the respondents' patients that acquire for future check-ups to the hospitals. The Slovin formula was used to determine the number of respondents. The information entered into the instrument was drawn from ISO 9126 Standards for Evaluation of Software Quality particularly metrics on Functionality, Reliability, Usability, and Efficiency. The metrics for Portability and Maintainability were not included as these were hard to measure by both groups of respondents.
